Struggling on Instagram!
The Struggle of a Professional Photographer: Battling Content Removal on Instagram
Hey everyone,
As a professional photographer and the President of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Slovak Republic, I've dedicated over 17 years to building my career and connecting with my audience. However, I've recently encountered a significant challenge that's been affecting my work and career on Instagram.
Constantly having my pictures deleted and reporting them has become an unexpected hurdle in my journey as a photographer. Whether it's capturing the beauty of people, the elegance of weddings, or the raw emotion of reportage, my work represents my passion and dedication to photography.
Over the years, I've used Instagram as a valuable platform to showcase my art and connect with fellow photography enthusiasts and potential clients. Building a following and sharing my work has been an essential part of my career. But lately, it's become increasingly difficult.
Instagram's content removal policies have caused many of my posts to disappear. As a result, my followers can't see the images I've worked so hard to create. This not only impacts my ability to share my art but also hinders my efforts to build a consistent audience.
So, why is it essential for me to build my audience day by day? A growing following not only allows me to share my work with a broader audience but also opens up opportunities for collaborations, projects, and potential clients. It's a crucial part of sustaining a photography career, especially in the digital age.
However, the constant battle with content removals can be disheartening. It disrupts the organic growth of my audience, making it challenging to reach new people who may appreciate and connect with my photography.
I believe that social media platforms like Instagram should be supportive of artists and content creators, rather than stifling their creativity. It's essential for platforms to strike a balance between protecting their users and enabling creators to share their work freely.
In conclusion, the struggle of constantly having my pictures deleted and reported on Instagram has been a significant obstacle in my career as a professional photographer. Building an audience is crucial for artists like me, and these challenges make it increasingly difficult.
I appreciate the support from my followers and fellow photographers who have stood by me throughout this journey. Let's hope for positive changes in the future, where artists can thrive and share their work without unnecessary hindrances.
